So after many years of coloring, cutting and experimenting with my hair, its time to put all that to a stop. Oh, lord only knows how difficult that will be for me. I'm definitely a fan of change when it comes to my hair. I mean it was like every 3 months I would sit in front of the mirror and say, "So what are we going to try now". But with all that said and done, its taken a toll on me. My hair is fried, tired, worn out! My curls are gone, GONE, I tell you. Yes, sad but true. So after reading so many blogs, watching YouTube videos by  Sunkiss Alba and LipsticknCurls. I have been, not only motivated but excited to go on the road to curly hair recovery! So on to some tip to getting those beautiful curls back.

Tips:

  1. Stay away from HEAT- use less heat or just stop using it. Heat pulls out moisture from your hair and will cause damage as well as breakage.
  2. Keep your hair Moisturized- Use hair milks and leave ins regularly
  3. Get a Satin Pillow it will protect your curls as you sleep. Other pillows will cause breakage and frizz to your hair. And lets face it, we don't want frizz
  4. Use Natural products- Use products that have good ingredients,"Natural oils", not chemicals. Less chemicals, the better off you are. Good natural oils are, Coconut, Almond, Jojoba, and Olive oil.
  5. Detangle hair in shower- Use a wide tooth comb or best way is your fingers. Other combs will damage and break your hair.
  6. Do Not Touch your hair- It will cause major frizz. Friends and family beware,"You will get slapped if your hands are near my hair."
  7. Deep condition- Deep condition your hair once a week, it is essential for healthy hair.
  8. Use a Microfiber towel- It will cause less damage to your curls.
  9. Do not Wash everyday- Washing your hair will wash out you hairs natural oils, and we don't want to do that.
  10. Be Patient!- This takes time. Doing research on curly hair it says that you could grow about 3 inches in 6 months. And do remember that having curly hair causes shrinkage. Like wavy hair shrinks about 5% of true length, and curly hair can shrink up to 30%, coily  hair shrink up to an amazing 75% true length, Wow.
If you would like to see which products I use in my hair. Please feel free to leave me a comment below or email me.
